Fireworks Galaxy
The night of July 4th, I decided to image the Fireworks Galaxy. The result was underwhelming, so I looked at the Wikipedia article on it, and found out that it got its name because of an unusual high rate of hypernovae. The Wikipedia photo looks good, so I’m guessing that the photographer has much more experience and better equipment than I have.
Anyway, here it is. 216 images stacked, 60 second exposures, 60 gain, astro filter. Processed in Stellar Studio “auto”.
