Veil Nebula Mosaic Again, with New Software
I installed the new software yesterday, and scheduled a mosaic of the veil nebula again. I went from roughly astronomical dusk to astronomical dawn. For a few minutes before dusk, I decided to get the Dumbell Nebula, partly just to see if it was visible from my usual spot.

M 27 Dumbbell Nebula; 21 subs at 60 seconds, 60 gain, duo band filter
Not too bad. 21 subs at 60 seconds each, 60 gain, duo filter.
I was very pleased with the Veil Nebula result. With the 1.8x1.8 mosaic, I only got about 25% of the time taken, so it’s equivalent to about 1:15 of time, rather than 5:00.
But the big win was that the result was how I framed it when setting up the shot. Before, my mosaics were off-center and weirdly truncated, and couldn’t be scheduled. Dwarf seems to have fixed this problem very well.
This is from Stellar Studio auto, with Apple Photos auto as well.

Veil Nebula; 213 subs, a 1.8x1.8 mosaic with new Dwarf 3 firmware. 60s, 60 gain, duo filter.
