The Ghost Nebula
I decided to devote last night to a better capture of the Ghost Nebula. I was able to image from Monsters’ Clubhouse, and I got a 0° deviation from my polar alignment, so I went for 60-second exposures. Here is the result:
IC 63, The Ghost Nebula; 418 subs, 60 secs, 60 gain, astro filter
Obviously this isn’t really cutting it. Next time I’ll try increasing the gain.
Update (same day): Looking at the Wikipedia entry for IC 63, I think I was confusing this nebula for another one. In any case, it looks like this one is quite faint and subtle. Maybe this is as good as I can expect to get.
