M 42 and California
It’s been cloudy and rainy for the last few nights, but last night we got a break. I started with the California Nebula. It was a bit cloudy at first. Here is the result of 577 subs, after removing 168 obviously bad subs due to clouds. StellarStudio “auto” and Apple Photos “auto”:

NGC 1499, the California Nebula; 577 subs, 15 secs, 60 gain, duo filter; from atop Galaxy.
After M 42 rose high enough, I took 248 more subs of it, before it disappeared behind my neighbors’ tree. Here it is, combined with my data from September 25th:

M 42, the Orion Nebula; 550 subs, 15 secs, 60 gain, duo filter, from atop Galaxy.
