Patrick Starfish, California, Pleiades, and Horsehead

Last night I wanted to get more data from the Horsehead Nebula. I combined this data with data from September 26/27, and got this.

Barnard 33, the Horsehead Nebula; 776 subs, 15-second exposures, 60 gain, duo filter.

Before that, I got more data from the Pleiades. Here is a stack from four nights’ worth of data:

M 45, the Pleiades; 1604 subs, 15-second exposures, 60 gain, astro filter.

I think this is pretty good, especially for 15-second subs. I hope I can find a better spot for the telescope so that I can polar align for the Pleiades. Or, I might be able to polar align from atop Galaxy, but that could be tricky.

Before the Pleiades, I took more data from the California Nebula. Unfortunately, MegaStack wouldn’t combine this with the data from the previous night! Not sure why. This will be saved for a future project.

Finally, I had some free time before the California Nebula came up, so I imaged the Patrick Starfish cluster, AKA NGC 1245. I’m not super happy with how it turned out.
