Space Koala Video on My Possible Upgrade Path
The Space Koala YouTube channel recently had a video on “making your own smart telescope”, and I found it extremely helpful.
It will be a while before I’m ready to buy any more hardware, but it’s not too early to be forming ideas about these things. For one thing, I was thinking that I should avoid getting an APO for my first OTA (beyond the Dwarf3), but the multiple ways that the Askar V can be configured are very cool. Is 600mm a long enough focal length for my first upgrade?
